I linked a photo of the Ashes of A'lar to show what I'm talking about. They are still completely straight and appear as if they don't even come off of the wings. Unfortunately Blizzard didn't address the streams that come off the wings while flying to make them look more like the Ashes of A'lar. The phoenix now has a physical shape instead of looking like it's made out of plasma, the particles around it are much more abundant and visible, and the glow emitted is more visible and bright. I figured I'd post some pictures with explanations that show the differences on the new model since I'm sure there are some people out there who want to know and see what they are. I'm also going to add that there is a "good looking" version of the Dark Phoenix present in the 4.2 PTR files and the 4.1.0 live realm data files - it looks like my suggestion above with the armor it needs to be a mount. So as things seem now, you can still use the mount even after u leave your guild and join a new one. Same goes for the dark phoenix hatchling, I did not lose the ability or right to summon it even though I'm in another guild. Now I've just joined a guild on the PTR, my reputation went to 0/3000 neutral and I'm still able to use the dark phoenix mount because it doesn't have any restrictions for summoning whereas the pet guild page can only be summoned when at friendly reputation with the guild. On the other hand it says my guild reputation is exalted even though I'm guildless.
